Banjar as community hall
Every traditional village (Desa Pakraman) in Bali have a community, a place where community do regular meeting, social activities, ceremonial activities, etc. Regular meeting called sangkep usually held monthly (35 days of Balinese wuku-calendar), every 6 month, or in any specified special day for certain important activities.
Banjar as sub-village
Banjar is also a sum village under Desa Pakraman. Desa pakraman usually consist of more than 1 banjar.

When you visit Bali, it would be a great chance to understand what banjar, desa pakraman, or sangep are. Moreover (...if lucky), you able to join how they do sangkep, arrange social and religious ceremony, and etc. But, do not forget to use Balinese simple costume.
