TYPOLOGY OF TOURIST

1. Male and Female Tourist
2. Young and Old (elderly) Tourist
We may categories them by nationality, then we call them:
1. Japanese Tourist
2. Asian Tourist
3. European Tourist
4. French Tourist
5. ...etc.
Cohen (1972) classify tourist into four categories:
1. Organized Mass Tourist: prefer fixed schedule, tour package, and organized
2. The Individual Mass Tourist: Simmilar to number 1, but tourist still able to control the itinerary
3. The Explorer: tend to create their own itinerary, avoid staged (well-prepared) tourist attraction
4. The Drifter: simmilar with the explorer, but deeper interaction and live together with local host.
From the they arrange their trip, we may classify them into:
1. FIT
2. GIT
